Slashdot, recently published, a story based on a survey titled Unhappy People Watch More TV . The story says, quote:
A new study by sociologists at the University of Maryland concludes that unhappy people watch more TV, while people who describe themselves as 'very happy' spend more time reading and socializing.
Cause-Effect notwithstanding, it got me thinking. I tried to come up with the tv series, sitcoms, I watched in 2008. The results were astonishing. I surprised myself. Before I say anything else, here are the results:
- Seinfeld - 5 seasons - 86 episodes
- 24 - 6 seasons + 24:Redemption - 145 episodes
- How I Met Your Mother - 4* seasons - 73 episodes
- The Big Bang Theory - 2* seasons - 26 episodes
- Avatar: The Last Airbender - 3 seasons - 61 episodes
- Scrubs - 7 seasons - 150 episodes
- 30 Rock - 3* seasons - 40 episodes
- Heroes[1] - 1 season - 23 episodes
- Flight of the Conchords - 1 season - 12 episodes
[1] Heroes is the only series I have decided to stop in between.
You do the math. Ok, I'll do it for you. That totals to

ha ha ha.. and you forgot to mention those innumerous movies that you must have watched :P (I can only match you on the movies and Big bang...sigh)
oh you too watch the big bang theory? awesome, isn't it?
Ohh that pretty much summarizes everything. :)
Keep it up, a world record may not be very far and for that article, I have got a quote from the movie sex, lies and videotapes
"Being happy isn’t all that great. I mean… the last time I was… really happy… I got really fat." -Ann
:)
well, let me count few uncountable things... avatar episodes - 10 more and grand finale was 1 hr ... so
avatar -> 11 episodes
big bang -> 20 episodes
heroes -> 30 episodes
90210 -> 50 episodes
NOTE:- ALL FIGURES ARE APPROXIMATION. THERE MIGHT BE MORE UNCOUNTED EPISODES (BUT DEFINITELY NOT LESS).
NOTE:- SOME OF THE SERIES ARE CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS. HENCE, BY THE TIME YEAR ENDS ....
the ones i counted were the episodes seen again ;) sorry, forgot to mention that earlier.
@webmaster, please reveal yourself. :-)
